If you follow these steps, your downloading setup will be amazing.
You know the drill: open the .dmg, drag the .app into your Applications folder, and then double-click. Download Songs mostly runs in the background, so you might wonder what's happening. As long as the black download icon is in the menu bar, it's doing its job. Click on this black icon to use and change Download Songs' settings.
This is crucial. When Download Songs opens, it will open the prefence panel. Think about all the ways you download music: music blogs, Amazon.com, applications, dropdbox, ftp, etc. Now add those folders to the list in Download Songs.
The other preferences are important too. In particular: do you want to move the mp3s to the trash after you import them into iTunes?
Use the keyboard shortcut or click on the menu item to quickly find and download songs.
If you have Firefox or Chrome download the Skipscreen browser add-on add-on to avoid all the waiting and clicking on sites like RapidShare, Megaupload, and MediaFire. Follow Skipscreen on Twitter for news.
